Gospel Tools/Gospel Tools Thailand/The Gospel Tools App/Campus Crusade for Christ Thailand (“we” or “us” or “our”) respects the privacy of our users (“user” or “you”). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you visit our mobile application (the “Application”). Please read this Privacy Policy carefully. IF YOU DO NOT AGREE WITH THE TERMS OF THIS PRIVACY POLICY, PLEASE DO NOT ACCESS THE APPLICATION OR WEBSITE.
We reserve the right to make changes to this Privacy Policy at any time and for any reason. We will alert you about any changes by updating the “Last updated” date of this Privacy Policy. You are encouraged to periodically review this Privacy Policy to stay informed of updates. You will be deemed to have been made aware of, will be subject to, and will be deemed to have accepted the changes in any revised Privacy Policy by your continued use of the Application after the date such revised Privacy Policy is posted.
This Privacy Policy does not apply to the third-party online/mobile store from which you install the Application, which may also collect and use data about you, totally independent of us. We are not responsible for any of the data collected by any such third party.
COLLECTION OF YOUR INFORMATION
We may collect information about you in a variety of ways. The information we may collect via the Application or our website depends on the content and materials you use, and includes:
Personal Data
Demographic and other personally identifiable information (such as your name and email address) that you voluntarily give to us when choosing to participate in various activities related to the Application, such as chat, liking posts, sending feedback, or responding to surveys.
Derivative Data
Information our servers automatically collect when you access the Application, such as your native actions that are integral to the Application, including liking a post, sharing links to content, as well as other interactions with the Application and other users via server log files.
Financial Data
No financial information is ever requested or required when using our application or our website.
Facebook Permissions
Only for users who choose to create an account, (the creation of an account is not required to browse our website, nor is it required to read content in our app), the Application may access your Facebook basic account information, including your name, email, current city, and profile picture URL, as well as other information that you choose to make public – again, if and only if you choose to create an account with our app using Facebook login. Data from Social Networks
User information from social networking sites, such as [Facebook, Instagram, Twitter], including your name, your social network username, location, profile picture, and public data for contacts, if you choose to login to our application via Facebook login.
Mobile Device Access
We may request access or permission to certain features from your mobile device, including your mobile device’s [camera or photo library – for uploading a profile photo, storage for caching app data,] and other features. You are not required to allow such access when using our application – as you may download and consume content without creating an account or login with our app.
Mobile Device Data
Device information such as your mobile device ID number, model, and manufacturer, version of your operating system, phone number, country, location, may be collected and stored in our Firebase database.
Third-Party Data
Your information will never be shared or sold to third parties unless expressly done so by you, the user, not by us in any way. All our services via our website and application are provide free of charge for public consumption. Your data when using our application is encrypted in Firebase database.
Summary of Data Types Collected as Noted in iOS App Store
8 data types collected from the Gospel Tools app: Name, Email Address, Photos, User ID, Device ID, Product Interaction, Crash Data, Performance Data.
The collection of your Name, Email Address, Photos, Videos, are all voluntary and expressly chosen to share by the user when the user creates an account, submits name and email address, sets a profile photo, etc.
You May Use the App Anonymously
Creating an account is not required to use our app. You may use, read, watch, etc. anonymously – without creating an account if you so desire.
USE OF YOUR INFORMATION
Having accurate information about you permits us to provide you with a smooth, efficient, and customized experience. Specifically, we may use information collected about you via the Application to:
- Compile anonymous statistical data and analysis for use internal evaluation and improvement.
- Create and manage your account.
- Email you regarding your account.
- Enable user-to-user communications such as sharing a link, or participating in chat with your selected friends.
- Generate a personal profile about you to make future visits to the Application more personalized.
- Increase the efficiency and operation of the Application.
- Monitor and analyze usage and trends to improve your experience with the Application.
- Notify you of updates to the Application.
- Offer new products, services, mobile applications, and/or recommendations to you.
- Request feedback and contact you about your use of the Application.
- Resolve disputes and troubleshoot problems.
DISCLOSURE OF YOUR INFORMATION
We may share information we have collected about you in certain situations. Your information may be disclosed as follows:
Interactions with Other Users
If you interact with other users of the Application, such as sending a link to content, or such as participating in chat with your selected friends -those users whom you voluntarily choose to interact with may see your name, profile photo. Also, your friends who you choose to connect with in our app would be able to see your group chat conversations with other users in your chat groups – with each user voluntarily choosing to accept friends requests, join chat groups, participate in chat.
Online Postings
When you post comments, contributions or other content to the Applications, it is only allowable to do so within your chosen group of friends in the context of chat. The application does not allow posting of content, comments, etc. in a publicly viewable forum.
Social Media Contacts
If you connect to the Application through a social network, your contacts on the social network may see your name, profile photo, and descriptions of your activity, if you so choose to be so.
TRACKING TECHNOLOGIES
Cookies and Web Beacons
We may use cookies, web beacons, tracking pixels, and other tracking technologies on the Application to help customize the Application and improve your experience. When you access the Application, your personal information is not collected through the use of tracking technology. Most browsers are set to accept cookies by default. You can remove or reject cookies, but be aware that such action could affect the availability and functionality of the Application. You may not decline web beacons. However, they can be rendered ineffective by declining all cookies or by modifying your web browser’s settings to notify you each time a cookie is tendered, permitting you to accept or decline cookies on an individual basis.
Website Analytics

Once you have used these links to leave the Application, any information you provide to these third parties is not covered by this Privacy Policy, and we cannot guarantee the safety and privacy of your information. Before visiting and providing any information to any third-party websites, you should inform yourself of the privacy policies and practices (if any) of the third party responsible for that website, and should take those steps necessary to, in your discretion, protect the privacy of your information. We are not responsible for the content or privacy and security practices and policies of any third parties, including other sites, services or applications that may be linked to or from the Application.
SECURITY OF YOUR INFORMATION
We use administrative, technical, and physical security measures to help protect your personal information. While we have taken reasonable steps to secure the personal information you provide to us, please be aware that despite our efforts, no security measures are perfect or impenetrable, and no method of data transmission can be guaranteed against any interception or other type of misuse. Any information disclosed online is vulnerable to interception and misuse by unauthorized parties. Therefore, we cannot guarantee complete security if you provide personal information.
POLICY FOR CHILDREN
We do not knowingly solicit information from or market to children under the age of 18. While we cannot control the actions of individuals who choose to download our application or visit or website, we confirm that our content is not intended for or made for children under the age of 18. If you become aware of any data we have collected from children under age 18, please contact us using the contact information provided below.
CONTROLS FOR DO-NOT-TRACK FEATURES
Most web browsers and some mobile operating systems [and our mobile applications] include a Do-Not-Track (“DNT”) feature or setting you can activate to signal your privacy preference not to have data about your online browsing activities monitored and collected. No uniform technology standard for recognizing and implementing DNT signals has been finalized. As such, we do not currently respond to DNT browser signals or any other mechanism that automatically communicates your choice not to be tracked online. If a standard for online tracking is adopted that we must follow in the future, we will inform you about that practice in a revised version of this Privacy Policy.
OPTIONS REGARDING YOUR INFORMATION
Account Information
You may at any time review or change the information in your account or terminate your account by:
- Logging into your account settings in the application and updating your account

- You may at any time delete the application from your device, and your account and information will be deleted from our active databases.
Upon your request to terminate your account, we will deactivate or delete your account and information from our active databases. However, some information may be retained in our files to prevent fraud, troubleshoot problems, assist with any investigations, enforce our Terms of Use and/or comply with legal requirements.]
Emails and Communications
We actually do not send any communication, emails, or correspondence to our users of our website or our app. It is possible, in the future, that we may email or communicate with users who have installed our app. If we do indeed initiate future communications, you will be allowed to opt-out of any correspondence or other communications by:

If you no longer wish to receive correspondence, emails, or other communications from third parties, you are responsible for contacting the third party directly.
Facebook Messenger Interactions
You, as the user, may choose to initiate conversations with us in Facebook Messenger. You may choose to do, and we encourage users to do so, in order to ask questions, provide feedback, or just say hello. Facebook Messenger is an outstanding way of communicating, and we welcome it. Our app provides links to our Facebook page, and our Messenger, so that you may conveniently leave our app to talk with us in Messenger. It should be noted by you, as the user, that we will never initiate such conversations in Facebook. We will never send unsolicited messages to you in Messenger, rather, we will respond to you as the initiator of any interaction therein. We may further respond to users who have messaged us within the last 24 hours. You may of course discontinue our conversation in Messenger at any time.
